It’s time for the 4th round of the Innovator’s Mindset MOOC (IMMOOC) and I couldn’t be more excited to get started! I will be co-hosting with George Couros, AJ Juliani and John Spencer. We are adding two new books to this round for a triple book study or as I used to call them in my 7th grade ELA class- Literature Circles. If you haven’t read The Innovator’s Mindset yet, this is a great place to start! Get ready to be pushed, inspired and ready to do create better experiences for learners. Option 2 is Empower by AJ Juliani and John Spencer is an awesome book that I couldn’t put down. The graphics, the examples, and the ideas are what we need more of today. Option 3 is my new book, Learner-Centered Innovation. My hope is that this book helps spark conversations among teachers, principals, district leaders, and the greater community about what is possible in education and how to take steps to get there.
Starting February 26, each Monday night we will have a YouTube Live session at 9 PM EST (6 PM PST), that will be consistent every Monday night based on past user feedback.

We will have a “selfie challenge” coming soon so get your book as soon as you can so you can participate and win a prize.
- Sign up for the course (also listed below).
- Get your blog ready to go! (I suggest either edublogs.org or wordpress.com)
- Share that you are joining to the #IMMOOC hashtag on Twitter and share this link for others to sign up.
- Join the Facebook group.
We look forward to having so many great people join this process and delving deeper into the importance of innovation in education. IMMOOC has been so powerful for me and so many other educators, so get ready to go so much deeper with this community of learners. We have amazing guests lined up for the live show that I can’t wait to talk with and learn from. It’s awesome to have listeners sharing responses live on Twitter and we usually get in a few questions from participants. If you miss the show live, you can listen anywhere. People have listened washing their cars, doing dishes, riding their bikes, driving to work… there are lots of different ways that you can tune in. Make sure to check immooc.org for more updates.
We hope you join us!
